Envirofit has designed a cookstove that will reduce indoor air pollution and improve the health of women and children and others who spend a lot of time in homes with primitive stoves.
On the website’s “Cookstoves” page under “Our Products” is this statement: “Compared to traditional cooking fires, Envirofit cookstoves reduce emissions by as much as 80%, use up to 60% less fuel and reduce cooking cycle time by up to 50%.”
How is this restoration? 1. If less fuel is used, then fewer trees need to be cut down. Forests will stand longer, keeping forest ecosystems intact longer, providing habitat, and reducing erosion. 2. If emissions are reduced, then air pollution will eventually go down.
