I can’t remember how we heard about the Waterfall Garden in Seattle, but I went there twice, once with Todd and once with my tripod to take improved pictures. For some reason, there is a waterfall garden at the site where United Parcel Service was founded.
The area around the garden (located at 2nd and South Main) is not as spiffy or attractive as downtown Seattle proper. But when you enter through these gates, you find yourself enclosed in a green haven, the sounds of the city muffled by moving water.
There are tables to sit at and work or eat lunch or chat, though you can’t see them in this picture.
The main attraction, of course, is the waterfall and pool. This photograph was taken at closing, when the guard was turning off the waterfall.
Looks like a cool place to chill out. And if the water sound bothers you you can turn it off!
I wanted to stay there longer, but the security guard started shutting down everything.
