Last Thursday I learned that my sister’s mother’s-in-law, Lollie, had died after a long struggle with dementia. She’s pictured here at Flatiron Crossing Mall in Broomfield, about two years ago, before the dementia had taken hold.
I’m sad that Lollie and my aunt Pat had such difficult experiences at the end of their lives. And I’m grateful to their daughters and sons for taking good care of them.
