My friend from Orlando was rhapsodizing about the waves at Cocoa Beach two Saturdays ago. I kept looking at them and thinking, “Aren’t they kind of small?” But then, he knows how to surf and I don’t.
I got my thrills playing with the photos. I wasn’t satisfied with the gray cast of the photos, taken at about 6 pm, so I turned up the contrast and then shadows to get the effect above. Today I just discovered monochrome mixer, which turns color photos into black and white. Here’s a detail from the photo above.
Of course, Aperture 3 just came out. So I might as well quit playing around with this version and learn the new one.
