I couldn’t think of another way to describe it to get its basic look across to someone who hadn’t seen it. It has the shape of a curtain hung on a rod, or maybe a table runner. Of course, I don’t think that’s all there is to it.

I think the part of the quotes in brackets is the most amusing because you know it is not exactly what was said. I also visited the Trace Figurative exhibit at CVA and I can’t agree with the critique of Heather Doyle-Maier’s work. 99 Reasons for Silence looks nothing like an extra long table runner, but I guess you have to be able to see the metaphors in order to understand it.
