And then there were two

My aunt Pat died early this morning. She was in her mid-eighties. She leaves behind two siblings (my father, my uncle David) and two children.

The last time I saw her was in Dallas, when I was visiting her on my way to High Island to go birding. That was in 2007. She has had a really rough time since the end of 2007, and I am glad I was able to spend time with her when she was in good spirits.

The picture above is from the Dallas Aquarium.

Beth – I am sorry for your loss. It is never a “good” time, but during the holiday stretch is always the “worst” time. Let me know if there is anything you need from me or anything I can do for you or your family.

Thanks, Michele. She really looked good for her age.

I think there may be sharks in the background–she was sitting in front of one of the large tanks at the Dallas Aquarium.

Spending time with someone when they’re well is the best of all. I’m glad you had a chance to see her in good spirits.

Yeah, she was a lot of fun to be around.
